Core Concepts Mental Hlth Prerequisites: BIOH 201; BIOH 211; CHMY 121; M 115, M 121, M 152, M 153 or M 171; NRSG 100; NRSG 221; PSYX 100; and WRIT 101.Corequisites: NRSG 130, NRSG 135, NRSG 138.This course explores physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and environmental factors associated with mental health/illness affecting individuals and families throughout the life span. Focus is placed on basic concepts of psychiatric nursing, therapeutic modalities, as well as psychiatric disorders including psychotherapeutic drug management. |
